Using JDBC and Oracle 8 client in 64-bits Windows

Oracle 8 client does not understand the file path if it contains brackets.  It may return the error ORA-06413: Connection not open.

In 64-bit Windows system, the 32 bit Java library is stored at the default 32-bit application folder, “Program Files (x86)”.  Using JDBC will become a problem.

If the 32-bit Java library is installed at a proper location, the JDBC will work.

In my case, I copied the directory to root and cleaned up the windows registry.
